Welcome. I am a licensed and board-certified art therapist. My specialty is working with children ages 4 to 18, and young adult college students. I can help with general parenting advice and managing behavior challenges for younger children. I provide perspective and guidance for teens and young adults. For children with anxiety and depression we can focus on developing coping skills and building upon strengths. Practicing social skills, exploring social thinking, and engaging in cognitive restructuring are approaches I use with clients on the spectrum. When appropriate I incorporate art and or play therapy techniques into sessions.
I have worked with children and young adults as an educator, mentor, and a psychotherapist. I have experience counseling clients ages 4 to 20 with the following diagnoses and challenges: high-functioning autism, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, and adjustment/trauma-related disorders.
