Cultivating a place of growth and self discovery to enable a more positive outlook to life is my overall mission. During my time in the military, I realized my gift was to help people with their mental health instead of physically protecting them. My areas of specialty are anxiety, depression, grief, transitional periods, substance use, and trauma.
As a bilingual/bicultural psychotherapist, I respect cultural diversity, blended families, alternative lifestyles, as well as individual values, rituals and beliefs. Embracing my heritage as a proud Latina of indigenous descent, I advocate for a holistic therapeutic approach integrating various modalities such as CBT, DBT, solution-focused, and mindfulness.
I am a LMSW under supervision of Oscar Guevara, LCSW-S to obtain my clinical certification. My education is from the University of Texas at Arlington, where I received my Bachelors in Psychology, and a Masters in Social Work specializing in Mental Health and Substance Abuse. Certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist and Dialectical Behavioral Therapist.
