I deeply value the importance of safe and connected relationships, and see this as an integral part of restoration and growth. My goal is to develop a therapeutic relationship with clients that fosters change through creating an interpersonal experience of understanding, safety, and empowerment. I am actively engaged in the certification process of Emotion Focused Therapy. EFT is a validated and proven model of couples therapy (also used for individuals or families as well).
EFT allows individuals, couples, and family members to identify and name the negative emotional cycle they have become "stuck in". From this, client's can begin the transformational process of creating a secure attachment with themselves and/or their partner (or family members).
As a therapist, I am eager for clients to feel validated and seen in all their experiences, so that the powerful work of integrating the disconnected parts of self can take place. My goal is to gently assist and walk alongside each client in the process of accessing the inner strength and resiliency that lies within them already.
