Not accepting new clients- Welcome! I am Jane Heiy. I am a Licensed Psychologist with a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. In my work in mental health, I am ever hopeful and confident that with work, the right therapeutic relationship, and time, huge changes can be made. It is witnessing these transformative changes again and again that keeps me deeply invested in supporting clients to improve their wellbeing and enrichment in life. I view my role as both a collaborator and a guide. I believe that the people I work with know themselves best and trust the wisdom that each client brings of personal circumstances and experience.
My aim is to collaborate in developing the goals and motivation needed to create a meaningful life. My other focus in therapy is to act as a guide, providing the reflections, encouragement, and concrete skills necessary to capitalize on one's strengths and bolster vulnerabilities.
I am grateful to be able to sit with people each day who are putting in the effort, time, and bravery needed to make changes and grow. This is especially true for my clients recovering from traumatic experiences; I hold it as both my privilege and responsibility to bear witness to these experiences and to provide a safe space for healing. www.drjaneheiy.com
