People seek counseling for a variety of different reasons. I work with people who are facing a specific stressor which has caused feelings of stress or overwhelm, as well as those who are experiencing more acute or chronic conditions. These might include dealing with family/relationship issues, ongoing anxiety or depression or concern about use of alcohol or other substances. Having been a Counselor for over 20 years , I have had the opportunity to work in a variety behavioral healthcare settings. My experience has informed my approach to counseling which is evidence and strength based, solution focused and compassionate.
I offer individual counseling services for adults and adolescents. I also offer assessment and consultation services for families and individuals struggling with substance use disorders.
My experience has taught me that often people suffer unnecessarily for a very long time before seeking professional help. I have great respect for the courage it takes to begin therapy. In working together my goal is to help you discover your resilience and develop coping skills and strategies for sustained health and happiness.
