Hello! My name is Jan, and I am an established psychotherapist with over 39 years of experience and specialize in counseling for both individuals and couples. If you are new to therapy or have tried different approaches but feel the need to address your issues in new ways, I would be honored to be part of that sometimes difficult undertaking. My focus will be seeing you as a whole, unique person and providing a safe, supportive space for you to express yourself. I will be your sounding board, someone who can walk beside you as we explore your past experiences, focus on the present impact, and work on strengthening the future you.
Our lives are filled with various changes, needs, challenges, frustrations, and moments of joy. Sometimes, it can be difficult to find a moment to pay attention to what is truly going on for ourselves. Many people struggle with anxiety, depression, feeling purposeless, or disconnected. These struggles can often lead to hurtful choices and lowered self esteem
As your therapist, I am known for being warm, humorous, empathetic, and challenging. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I learn from each encounter with my clients.
