When we feel safe and accepted as we are, we can challenge ourselves to grow. My goal is to create with you, a safe place where we can learn from the old habits of behavior or relating, and explore less familiar sides of you that may offer surprising ways of feeling, thinking, living and relating. Sometimes making changes can feel daunting, and counseling can provide the support and guidance as you build a more fulfilling life for yourself.
I work with individual clients, adolescents and groups. I work with a wide range of issues including: PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, hopelessness, grief and bereavement. I offer to come alongside you and support you through learning new tools to better cope with the issues you are facing in life that are holding you back.
I incorporate EMDR, Brainspotting, CBT and DBT into my practice. I am also certified through EAGALA as an Equine Therapist and enjoy using this tool in the practice of psychotherapy. Using horses is another way to uncover painful patterns in the search for wholeness. I am also training in Critical Incident Stress Debriefings for First Responders.
