I have been practicing as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in South Florida since 2010. Clients who have had negative experiences with therapy in the past have described me as “the therapist for people who think they hate therapy.” I have a laid-back style and I work collaboratively with my clients to ensure they are getting what they need out of therapy. My therapeutic approach focuses on the mind-body connection. I teach clients to evaluate how mood can be affected by food, sleep habits and physical movement, as well as genetics, thought processes, and trauma.
I earned Masters degrees from both the University of Florida and Florida Atlantic University. Additionally, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a treatment modality that has been extensively researched and shown to be effective for the treatment of trauma as well as treatment-resistant depression and anxiety.
I have a passion for helping clients explore remedies offered through holistic means as well as remedies offered through western medicine. I work with adolescents, adults, and families.
