Hey what's up! My name is jamie (they/them), and I'm a counselor seeing folks in Texas. I am a transgender clinician who is interested in those who have queer and trans identities, climate change concerns, and those who have felt marginalized by the mental health industry. Activism is an important part of the work that I do as a counselor, and it is my belief that the mental health industry needs substantial changes to more effectively serve the diversity of its people. I believe part of these changes requires the integration of traditional methods of healing as well as the advent of other inclusive forms of healing.
I want to work with transgender and gender non-conforming identities, experiences of psychosis or altered states of consciousness, and those with climate change concerns. I want my client to know that they are way more than their stigmatized identities and that a more integrated life is possible.
