I am currently completing a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Indiana Wesleyan University. I completed my undergraduate degrees in Nursing and Psychology at the University of Southern Indiana. I have experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families struggling with grief and loss, trauma, stage of life issues, anxiety, depression, and relational issues.
I primarily use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Attachment Based Family Therapy, and frequently incorporate Sandtray therapy. Sandtray therapy offers clients, of all ages, the ability to use other senses to intensify their verbal communication or replace verbal communication when words are difficult or too painful to express.
Making changes in our lives takes hard work that sometimes seems too difficult or maybe even impossible. I believe seeking counseling is the first step towards making those desired changes and I'm committed to providing an environment where clients feel safe, respected, and supported to continue in that process.
