Hello, I’m James, and thank you for being here. Whether you are new to therapy or have been sitting on the couch for years, welcome! First off, there is no perfect way to do therapy and there is no perfect way to client. So, I hope for you less pressure and worry in exploring this curious thing called therapy. I strive to make my practice safe, comfortable, individualized and resourceful. Another core tenant of my practice that I find equally important: your leadership. You are the expert of you, even if you may not always feel it - I'll do my very best to be of resource to you. (Response 48-72 hrs)
I’m an EMDRIA trained therapist. This means I’m qualified to use EMDR. I got my MSW w/ a concentration in MH/Trauma from University of Denver (DU). Here, I worked in various roles providing MH Care in Community Health Orgs, PHPs, etc. to children, adolescents, & adults. Further concentrations that inform my practice: neuropsych, neuroanatomy etc.
I hope to have the privilege to work with you, hear your story, and provide you with some skills that will aid you in better tackling the challenges that come your way, discovering the things you'd like to discover, and experiencing the things you hope to experience.
