With recent neurological and attachment research, we are finding how connected the mind and body really are. We are also finding how important for a person's well-being it is to understand one’s identity and how we each fit in the world. I partner with my clients to develop a felt sense of security within themselves and the world. This felt sense is what will create the necessary resiliency to ensure a person can work through struggles that have been holding them back. Much of my background involves working with the Neuro-Diverse community and the LGBTQIA+ community.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker trauma and attachment-focused therapist who utilizes an individualized approach, informed by Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help my clients. Beginning with a safe and trusting therapeutic relationship, my clients heal in a lasting and profound way.
Attachment is everything when it comes to being a healthy and functional person. It is our blueprint for how we exist and function within any human relationship, including greater society and with ourselves. Our attachment styles inform how we create associations and interpretations from our experiences to learn how to survive and avoid threats to safety.
