Are you and your partner(s) looking for counseling? Whether due to stress outside the relationship, wanting to feel closer to each other, or repairing a rupture from cheating, I can support you through your relationship journey. As a systems-oriented therapist, I firmly believe in the transformative power of relationships, but that doesn’t mean they are easy to navigate alone. Every relationship orientation is welcome: monogamous or nonmonogamous. While my practice focuses on queer partners, I'm also happy to work with queer people of color for one-on-one therapy. I’m an ideal therapist for folks new to/scared about therapy.
I have 9 years of clinical experience, working mainly with queer and trans youth of color. My lived experience as a genderqueer, black, and Mexican person informs my practice lens and use queer and feminist theories in my clinical work. I use narrative therapy to understand your stories and use them in helping you understand yourself and/or each other.
If you’re needing to create counternarratives to your life’s trauma, I believe in my skills as a therapist to create a brave and nonjudgmental space to work on the emotional issues which may be impacting the other parts of your life. If you are needing an empathetic ear who isn’t oblivious to the limits of therapy, I’m your person.
