I believe that individuals have the capacity to understand and change the aspects of their lives that are unsatisfying. It is my belief that, oftentimes, individuals move through life operating on assumptions and expectations that may be out of their conscious awareness. Working through this "unfinished business" of one's past paves the way for more satisfying relationships and overall contentment in life.
I work with adults, children, and adolescents. I provide individual, couples, and group psychotherapy services, as well as psychological assessment.
My therapeutic approach is predominantly psychodynamic in nature. This means that I work to help individuals better understand their history and experiences, and how these experiences affect the individual's current relationships. I work with the client to establish his or her individual goals for therapy.
Common concerns in therapy include depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties, grief/loss, trauma, dealing with life transitions, addiction, and fear. My practice philosophy emphasizes diversity, and I strive to provide a safe and accepting environment in which individuals can explore their specific concerns in a confidential setting.
