It's normal for people to feel unsure in knowing where to start when wanting to change, or better understand themselves. Life can often leave us feeling overwhelmed, and we need someone to come alongside us as we sift through our own emotions, whether old or new. My belief in holding space for clients is that the therapy process is of most help to people when it allows them to explore their symptoms in light of both their past and present experience, and to find new ways to meaningfully relate to themselves and others. My practice is inclusive towards all backgrounds, and I work to create a space that is safe and hospitable for all.
Coming from a relational perspective, I see each individual as unique in the experiences they bring into the room, and I see the evolving relationship formed in therapy between client and therapist as the most impactful part of the process. In actively working to create safe spaces, I hope to come alongside you in your healing work.
