Hi! ¡Hola! I am a 42 y/o Clinical Psychologist (Psy.D) licensed in the state of New Jersey and in Puerto Rico. I am fully bilingual and can provide psychotherapy in English and Spanish. I have been actively providing psychotherapy and counseling for the past 10 years and almost 2 years providing Tele-Health psychotherapy.
In the first session I usually have an open conversation with the patient. This conversation will mostly focus on the main concern, issue, or problem that is affecting the person. I also like to explore certain psychosocial information that will help me get to know and understand the patient.
As a psychotherapist, but also as a person, I consider myself to be emphatic, with a great deal of respect and compassion for every person I get the chance to talk to or work with. I like to work collaboratively with my patients and will adjust to the person’s needs, social background, and context among other factors.
