My name is Jade Dearing and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist based in Westlake Village, California, working with clients mostly in-person, but I am also open to telehealth if I feel it can be beneficial to the client. I am a trauma-informed psychotherapist working with clients with unresolved childhood developmental trauma (C-PTSD). I use EMDR, parts work (IFS informed), Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples and individuals, and the Safe and Sound Protocol. I am committed to helping my clients overcome inner emotional conflicts that are preventing them from leading healthy, happy, and functional lives.
I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for older teens and adults who may be dealing with symptoms of depression, anxiety, OCD, and self-harming behaviors that are causing impairments in everyday life and their ability to function.
What attracted me to a career as a therapist was a curiosity about human behavior and how it affects our relationships and our ability to function, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in people's lives.
