Therapy is an opportunity to explore oneself and make positive changes to improve your life. My ideal client is someone struggling with their thoughts and emotions. Many of my clients come to therapy burdened with excessive worry, sadness, fear, or guilt. As a therapist, I provide the safety of a supportive, non-judgmental relationship to explore one's challenges. Together, we explore how past and present life experiences contribute to current perceptions, thoughts, beliefs and patterns of behavior. Therapy with me focuses on empowerment, as I work to help my clients embrace their cultural identity and find areas of strength.
I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and EMDR. I specialize in working with symptoms of anxiety, depression, difficulty with life transitions, career and academic challenges, trauma and low self-esteem.
