When I am working with individuals or couples in therapy, they often aspire to “get in control” of their lives, or their relationship(s). They’re quickly taken aback when I explain that being in control is an illusion. So much of our suffering hinges on us trying to control what is outside of us. I help clients to look internally, and truly connect with what they do have control over- their beliefs. We can take charge of our thoughts, and how we interpret our circumstances, in order to create a better life!
My approach is non-judgmental, collaborative, interactive, and compassionate. I use a combination of cognitive- behavioral, solution-focused, emotion-focused, and acceptance and commitment therapy. I practice utilizing a short-term model that highlights your strengths.
I bet for far too long you have been told to “be strong” and “don’t let them see you sweat.” My biggest flex as a therapist, is to help you understand and embrace ALL sides of who you are. I will be your safe space, especially for the emotions you keep hidden from most of the world. Your journey of personal and relational healing can start now!
