Greetings! I consider myself a trauma-informed therapist whose practice is informed by various approaches to counseling. Some are more practical and used to address or better manage problems, and others are oriented toward increasing awareness and fostering personal growth. I have experience working with people with anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, behavioral and substance addictions, obsessive-compulsive tendencies and a history of trauma and related challenges.
Depending on your therapeutic goals and our relational dynamic, I may take a more nondirective approach to counseling. At other times, I may assume a more active or directive role, offering observations and suggestions. Whatever my approach, you can expect that I'll pay attention to you with a nonjudgmental attitude.
As for my existential orientation, how I understand the human condition is informed largely by a Judeo-Christian worldview. Of course, whether or how that shows up in our sessions depends on your preferences, as I work with people in the context of their own beliefs and values.
