Life is hard. As children, we often have little to no control over our lives. Things happen that make us feel confused, angry, or scared, and we may or may not get the help we need or even an explanation. Our childhood experiences shape who we are, and many children experience trauma or have some unmet need that follows us into adulthood and makes life even harder than it already is. Being a parent is hard. It takes a village, and I hope to support your child (and you!) through the messiness of being a human.
I will work with you and your child to understand the factors that may be contributing to ongoing mental health or behavioral challenges. Through play therapy or talk therapy, your child will learn to manage their emotions, as well as explore, express, and understand their thoughts, feelings, and experiences.
