I specialize in working with clients who want to improve their relationships, both with themselves and others. I help committed couples repair and/or strengthen their relationships through reflection, goal setting, and skill building. I support new or expectant parents, both as a team or individually, by setting expectations for this life transition or by supporting my clients if the arrival of a baby may have resulted in Postpartum Mood Disorders, relationship friction, or feelings of overwhelm. I also work with individuals who want to improve their quality of life, which may have been impacted by anxiety, depression, or stress.
I believe effective counseling is two-fold: First, I collaborate with my clients to determine actionable steps for short-term improvement. Then, I facilitate a deeper investigation to identify potential sources of client's world-views and behavior patterns so effective adjustments can be made. I believe education and awareness are keys to long-term success.
