Welcome! I’m so happy you're here! I'm Jaala Davis, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Claudia Thompson, LMFT-S, LPC-S. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication from Virginia State University (2004) and a Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University (2023). I'm committed to creating a safe space for individuals to embrace their authentic selves. My focus includes working with individuals, relationships, and underrepresented communities such as BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals to foster empowerment and adjustment.
My goal as a therapist is to cultivate a collaborative, nonjudgmental, and compassionate therapeutic relationship to support people facing anxiety, depression, race-based trauma, trauma, life transitions, self-esteem, and sexual challenges. I believe clients can maintain mental health wellness by utilizing their resources to develop healthy coping skills.
I provide a compassionate and empathetic atmosphere to nurture a safe space for clients to explore deeply their thoughts, emotions, and worries.
