As a therapist and social worker I work with people to better understand their place in the world around them and to develop a healthy relationship with themselves. I approach everyone as a whole person made up of all the experiences and identities they bring to the table. At the core of my practice is working with you to understand yourself and your relationship with the world better so you can write the story of your own life instead of having other people and your emotions write it for you. I work with kids 12 and above and with adults at any stage of their life.
I use a variety of approaches including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma focused DBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Narrative therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I work with each client to set goals and find the right approach to get you where you want to be.
Therapy can be intimidating and scary but my door is open to anyone. Whatever you bring to counseling I am here to work with you to live the life you want and be the person you want to be. If you are interested please reach out and we can schedule a time for us to chat! The consultation is free and for sessions I take Mainecare and private pay.
