My name is Ivan Chan, and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I use a Feedback Informed Treatment approach, which means I tailor your therapy based on what's working the best for you. I specialize in grief, anxiety, depression, culture, spirituality, sexuality, and relationship issues. I use the Feedback Informed Treatment (FIT) approach to providing therapy, which allows me to adapt what I do base on what my clients tell me they need. I keep up with the latest evidence-based research, and I am trained in Humanistic, Existential, Cognitive Behavioral, and Solution-Focused Brief therapies.
I work with adults and seniors dealing with relationship conflicts, transitions, grief, anxiety, depression, cultural issues, and sexuality.
I prefer to provide therapy in a relaxed and conversational manner, like two friends talking. I believe that therapy, although it may deal with painful topics, does not have to be painful itself and that it can be an enjoyable and uplifting experience.
