My therapeutic style is nurturing and empowerment driven. I value collaborative and affirmative care and I pay attention to the importance of culture and intersections of identity. I find it important to focus on the present moment, as well as the environment, biology, family of origin and upbringing, and holistic factors. I like to teach clients skills to observe emotion and its experience in the body, and ways to access and activate the imagination. Whether it's your first time in therapy, or you've experienced it before, we explore your needs together, at your pace.
Tailored to your needs and therapy goals, I draw from various approaches (i.e. relational-cultural, cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, emotion-focused, clinical hypnosis, internal family systems). I have experience to help with a range of issues, e.g. anxiety, OCD, phobias, depression, grief, chronic pain, culture/identity, family and relationship issues.
I believe therapy offers a compassionate space for help with the internal and external challenges of life.
