Over the course of life, we accumulate hurts and wounds that impact how we function in our day to day lives. We can feel flooded by a range of difficult, often overpowering thoughts & emotions. We also can experience challenges in our relationships as well as in our efforts to process and respond to overwhelming life events. Integrating experiential aspects of Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindfulness, and somatic therapies along with relational/attachment-based therapy, I will partner with you to help you locate and strengthen your inner resources of healing and resilience.
I am a relational psychotherapist who supports individuals and couples/relationships in accessing internal resources to achieve balance and well-being in all spheres of life. I am IFS Level-1 trained and incorporate IFS and mindful awareness, along with a keen understanding of relationships and the impacts of larger cultural contexts.
Prior to being a psychotherapist, I earned a PhD and worked in higher education. My professional background and career change, along with my life experience as a lesbian, life partner, and parent, inform my work with my clients. Clients have valued the range of my experience as well as my compassionate curiosity, grounded focus, warmth, and humor.
