As a licensed clinical social worker, I am extremely passionate about providing mental health treatment. I have experience working with a wide variety of clients ranging from those suffering from severe mental illness to those trying to navigate stressful life transitions. I do not believe there is a one-size-fits-all method for therapy so I like to involve my clients in the trajectory of their treatment as much as possible. Although it can be daunting to start, I like to emphasize to my clients not to be overwhelmed by the therapeutic process. While therapy may be challenging, it can simultaneously be extremely rewarding!
It is not a cure-all, but self-actualization is a valuable tool against combating a wide variety of stressors. I use practical, evidence-based approaches (such as CBT/ Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) to help clients set and accomplish their specific treatment goals. Achieving goals, no matter how small, is a great way to track your own progress.
