I am a Licenced Clinical Social Worker, Psychotherapist, and Psychoanalyst. In a safe and non-judgmental environment, my patients have the chance to understand unconscious motivations, resolve relationship issues and change patterns of behaviors, manage stressors, gain support through major life transitions, and alleviate and manage anxiety and depression. In my clinical work, I utilize a creative, eclectic contemporary approach depending on the individual patient and their needs; but I always approach the clinical work from an integrative/psychodynamic/psychoanalytical perspective.
I come off the belief that the therapeutic process is a creative process in which the therapist and the patient are co-creating an imaginary relationship based on their own existing relationships. The therapeutic space becomes a micro version of real-life where we bring and repeat our past patterns of behaviors. This therapeutic relationship is what heals.
I work with therapists. I accept UMR for Mount Sinai employees/United Healthcare Choice Plus Network - UMR insurance. I am bilingual, I provide therapy in English and Bulgarian.
