Welcome! Life has a tendency to throw challenges at us unexpectedly. How we handle these challenges can make all the difference in our overall well being. I am a licensed clinical professional counselor and I would like to help foster the resiliency within you to mange life's stressors. I have experience providing counseling, and care coordination for teens, families and adults from diverse cultural backgrounds struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, self-esteem, and various other mental health challenges. I believe everyone has the ability to be resilient and overcome obstacles standing in their way.
I use person-centered, cognitive behavioral therapy, strength-based, and trauma informed approaches to therapy, which leads me in my efforts to counsel others. The use of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and understanding are all things I believe foster a strong client-therapist relationship. It is important to me that the process is collaborative.
In session, we will explore your thoughts, feelings, and goals. You will be able to focus on yourself without feeling selfish. Using a strength based approach, we will work to build on strengths you already possess. I hope to help you find your inner calm through the storm that life can be.
