Creating a space where you feel safe and not judged is important to me. I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, 6 years of which as an LPCC. Working towards creating an environment where you feel supported, heard, and understood is of high value to me. My goal is that after each session you leave knowing that your concerns are important and that because you had an opportunity to share openly, you have more direction on what to do/work on next.
I view goal setting as a collaborative approach. The goals that are established should meet the client's needs as well as be clear, attainable and realistic. Goals would also be flexible as life happens, and at times we might need to adjust the priority or timeline of a specific goal.,
