I approach therapy with a collaborative spirit and pull from various modalities to best meet your needs in this space, such as Brainspotting, IFS, CBT, polyvagal theory, and ACT.
Negative stories, beliefs, and conflict can leave you feeling you feeling stuck and overwhelmed. These experiences may stem from years of ongoing challenges or from a recent event that has created distress. Whatever the issue, together we can work towards healing through exploring the beliefs and stories that no longer serve you and by understanding the complexities of your internal and external worlds. My hope is for you cultivate more opportunities for rest, joy, and clarity, and therapy provides a unique space to do this in your timing, with care, and with your goals in mind.

I use traditional methods like Cognitive Behavioral therapy and Motivational Interviewing as well as evidence-based EMDR, Equine Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, and Narrative Therapy.
A trauma therapist, certified in EMDR and EAGALA equine therapy. Horses are metaphors for the human experience and how each individual interprets the herd explains how they see themselves in the human constellation Approaching horses helps us reflect how we approach our relationships and how we can face other big or overwhelming things in our lives. Since the solutions are personally experienced in conjunction with intellectual understanding, they tend to be deeper, more profound, and longer lasting. I walk with my clients through the trauma and to the other side of healing.

I have specialized training in trauma and predominantly utilize Internal Family Systems ( IFS) or "parts work" in my therapeutic practice.
Two values I strive for in the therapy room are understanding and security. When you walk through my door, I want you to feel the kind of safety that allows you to get cozy on the sofa and take a deep breath before diving into what matters most to you. Throughout the process, my hope is that all parts of you - those you love and know well and those that you struggle with or push away in your daily life - feel welcome, seen, appreciated, and understood. My clients are primarily adult individuals who hope to find healing and connection within themselves and with others.

I also love incorporating parts work using Internal Family Systems, Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy skills, and Coherence Therapy schemas.
I hear folks on my therapy couch often ask these questions: "Why can't I get a hold on these anxious feelings?" "Why am I still repeating these same patterns?" "Why does (experience) bring up so much (emotion) for me?" I help adults and adolescents (16+) translate this curiosity into insight to develop emotion regulation skills, a sense of self rooted in integrity instead of shame, and more mindfulness in their relationships. I work mostly with anxiety, LGBTQIA+ issues, depression, emotion regulation difficulty, relationship issues, spirituality, and grief, including “identity grief” (grieving the life we thought we’d live).

I'm trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
I help clients struggling with anxiety, depression, relationships, PTSD/trauma, motivation & life adjustments. It is not uncommon to find ourselves stuck or overwhelmed. We've often learned to neglect ourselves, our needs, and feel unable to call upon others when we need help. Many of us battle with feelings of shame and speak to ourselves in a critical voice. I believe this often comes from a place of wounding from our past that drives us further away from our true, authentic self. When we can learn how to care for ourselves in the way we needed in the past, we can shift our beliefs of ourselves and who we are in relation to others

In our sessions, we may use various therapeutic techniques including EMDR, IFS-informed parts work, self-compassion, and mindfulness.
My approach to therapy involves helping you develop tools and remove roadblocks to access your inner wisdom and innate healing resources. Together, we can grow your connection to your authentic self, which often leads to a greater sense of fulfillment, peace, and joy. Healing often comes through connection—both with ourselves and others—and I strive to facilitate these connections in a safe and supportive space. I aim to create a nonjudgmental environment where you can explore and embrace all parts of yourself in the context of a compassionate relationship.

In therapy, I draw mainly from ACT, DBT, and IFS.
As a therapist, I strive to create an environment for my clients that fosters acceptance and connection in a way that best supports their healing and their journey. It is one of the greatest honors of my life to walk beside my clients through sorrow, anxiety, joy – all the experiences inherent in being human. I seek to aid clients in recognizing their own strengths as well as assist them in developing new coping skills to meet life’s challenges. As a therapist, I aim to greet every client, every session with non-judgment, radical acceptance, and a genuine interest in their wellbeing.

I integrate the Enneagram, Internal Family Systems ( IFS), and somatic work to help clients explore their inner world and create lasting change that aligns with their core values.
Have you ever felt stuck, cycling through the same conflicts with your partner, or overwhelmed by the challenges of early parenthood? Have you struggled to support your partner while navigating grief around a pregnancy loss, infertility, or a parent's death? As someone who's walked through many of these experiences personally, I get how overwhelming and lonely it can be. Research shows that having the right support can be a key factor in navigating life’s hardest seasons, and I’m here to walk with you as you find your way through.

Are you feeling overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself? Through IFS Therapy, I guide individuals to explore and harmonize their inner world.
It's my belief that within relationships we are both hurt and healed. I practice from a relational approach, specifically Attachment Theory. Attachment shapes how we view ourselves and others, and influences how we "do" close relationships. We may unconsciously carry feelings of anxiety, pain, humiliation, or even abandonment from our relationships. For example, early childhood experiences of sexual abuse, neglect, grief, loss, or vicarious trauma impact one's perception of safety and security. As a result, we may find it difficult to form satisfactory relationships in adulthood. Navigating through this process alone can be hard.Thankfully, you don't have to do it alone.

I believe therapy works best and is most successful when there is a willingness to risk being vulnerable with a safe other. If you are someone who is motivated to learn more about themselves and take active steps to change this might be the right fit for you. My focus area and experience is working with women and premarital couples. I offer deeper internal work through both IFS and Brainspotting. The client who will benefit best from the way I do therapy are those who are naturally self-reflective and those who find value in metaphor and symbolic language.

Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapists

What is Internal Family Systems therapy?

Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a type of talk therapy that focuses on sub-personalities, or “families,” within a person, which may be made up of wounded parts and unpleasant emotions like anger and shame. These sub-personalities can come into conflict with each other and with an individual’s core Self, leaving the person feeling detached from positive traits such as the “8 C’s” of confidence, calmness, creativity, clarity, curiosity, courage, compassion, and connectedness. By healing a patient’s wounded parts, a therapist aims to restore balance and bring on positive change.

How does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

An IFS therapist will work with a patient to identify their particular sub-personalities, recognize the emotions powering them, and release them. By doing so, the patient should become more able to address any underlying problems their sub-personalities may have been trying to protect them from. Ultimately, a patient discovers ways to manage internal and external conflicts on their own, through techniques such as relaxation exercises, journaling, and making charts depicting the relationships between their core Self and their distinct parts.

Does Internal Family Systems therapy work?

IFS therapy has been shown to help people address conditions such as depression, anxiety, panic, fears and phobias, trauma, and substance use disorders. Some research has also found that it can help individuals deal with symptoms of physical health conditions like rheumatoid arthritis, such as pain, everyday functioning, depressive feelings, and low self-compassion. There are some conditions for which IFS treatment, specifically discussions of one’s “parts,” may be less appropriate, such as schizophrenia or other states that involve psychosis or paranoia.

How long does Internal Family Systems therapy take?

As with most forms of talk therapy, there is no set duration or end point for IFS therapy. After becoming comfortable with a therapist and the core concepts of IFS, some patients quickly make progress. While experiences vary, most will find that it is a relatively longer-term therapy, involving months and sometimes years of sessions.
