I have been working with individuals and couples for 28 years. Many of the clients I see suffer from depression, anxiety, work and relationship issues (including communication problems, feeling disconnected, infidelity, and divorce). I help clients find new ways of coping, seeing and thinking, and relating. Although I am knowledgeable and skilled in several therapeutic methods, I don't believe in "one-size-fits-all" therapy. Instead, I adapt my treatment plan to meet the needs, goals, and personality of each client.

In the moments, when you feel stuck, unsafe, or overwhelmed; I'm here to help. My goal is to work alongside you as you interact with your own inner strength, self-worth, and capacity for love as you grow toward the best version of yourself. Perhaps trauma, an eating disorder, or depression has made you feel disconnected, lonely, and empty. My work with individuals, families, and found families helps people to reconnect, or connect for the first time, with themselves, with others, and with the world around them as their true, authentic selves.

We all have innate wisdom about what is best for us but may struggle to believe this about ourselves. I work with clients with past and ongoing trauma that has impacted their sense of self, created feelings of overwhelm, and even feelings of detachment. I strive to create a safe environment in which clients can be curious about the relationship between their inner and outer worlds. Through curiosity, I hope to show people that there are no “bad parts" of them, just parts that may no longer serve them. I help clients to connect mind and body to address the full picture of thoughts, feelings and emotions.

Hi! I am a therapist for children, teens, and parents! Does your child have a difficult time with controlling emotions? Often crying? Having changes in behavior? Issues getting up for school in the morning? There are many obstacles parents face that are not often talked about. The positive thing is, you don't have to do this alone. Sometimes collaboration with the child and parent makes a world of difference. My goal as a therapist is to meet people where they are to find what things make them feel supported and heard.

I am so glad that our paths have crossed. Seeking help takes courage and we all need it from time to time. I view counseling as a relatively short term investment that yields a lifetime of value. In my personal and professional experience I have found that it usually takes a third party to help identify and challenge problematic patterns that keep us hurting and stuck. In this way, counseling helps you to develop new ways of thinking about and responding to life's inevitable challenges. Please feel free to browse www.threestonescounseling.com to find out more.

Therapy is a connector. It connects us with our inner selves, examines how we interact with those around us, and how that affects our mental health and well being. With this tool, we give ourselves permission to dig in, feel what we sometimes ignore, share what we need, and do what we can for our lives to hold meaning and beauty. I’m naturally drawn to people, and I bring curiosity and empathy to my work with a diversity of backgrounds, personalities, and identities. I enjoy supporting folks navigating identity questions, big life changes, heartbreak, and unhelpful thoughts or behaviors. Life can get heavy- let's carry it together.
