I provide compassionate care through a trauma-informed lens utilizing embodiment work, brainspotting, IFS, shame resilience, intuitive eating principles and most importantly, the restorative connection of the therapeutic relationship.
Are you weighed down by "doing it all” and always left feeling like it’s not quite enough? Do you often feel overwhelmed and exhausted? Whether it’s parenting struggles, food and body concerns, relationship difficulties, past wounds, or all of the above, the demands of our lives can leave us frazzled and empty. Without focusing on our needs and caring for ourselves, we can become burned out, anxious, and lost. We repeat patterns of behavior in our relationships that don’t serve us anymore and keep us stuck.

My background in trauma therapy gives me new insights into what you might be going through.
You might be a parent really wishing that there was a handbook on how to do this best. Or maybe you're a teenage girl really struggling with sustaining healthy friendships. Possibly, you are graduating from college and feeling utterly lost. No matter where you fall in that spectrum, or outside of it. I believe that you can create growth in your life. I am here to walk with you on that path. I won't lead you; you will make those choices yourself. But I will be a guide.

I have specialized trauma training, and I am passionate about providing trauma-competent care to support healing, restoration, and balance in my practice.
Ongoing life stressors and traumatic events can leave us feeling disoriented and destabilized. Being confronted with difficult choices can leave us feeling stuck in a feedback loop or "analysis paralysis." Therapy can support you with identity exploration, navigating change, and making sense of past and current experiences.

We can break generational trauma.
Counseling can be intimidating, but I want to foster a safe, compassionate, and empathetic place where you can talk about the things you don’t know how to talk about. As a therapist, I seek to create a space for your true self to shine through as we work together to confront the challenges, insecurities, and past traumas you carry, and to ultimately find healing. At this stage as you consider therapy and seek to find the right fit, I want to encourage you by simply saying that you are enough. You do not have to be more than who you are. And who you are is worthy of love, of care, and of mental and emotional health.

I have worked with depression, anxiety, parenting issues, relationship issues, trauma, substance abuse, gray drinking in many different capacities.
Therapy is only as good as your relationship with your therapist. You want to find someone you feel comfortable sharing everything with because if you hold back how can you move towards healing? Therapy is shown to be effective not by how many credentials a person has but their ability to connect with their clients. There is nothing worse leaving your first session not wanting to come back and then feeling exhausted and apprehensive trying to find another therapist. I encourage you to reach out to the therapist to see if you like their vibe.

My ideal clients are those who want a collaborative exploration into the paths of healing from trauma and its impact on the mind and body, sexuality and gender identity and expression, and integrating spirituality into the healing process for those who traditional religious practices may have harmed.
Hi, I'm Ewa (eh-vuh). I honor all human experience just as it is and recognize that life is rarely linear. At times life may bring challenges that impact and even overwhelm our ability to access and utilize our capacity to heal. Through counseling it is possible to be curious, alongside one another, about the questions your life is asking you. I have confidence that we can co-create a space in which the authentic part of you can be seen and heard in ways that honor your truth. I aim to help you process your complex emotional experiences so that you could live with greater ease and comfort in your relationship with self and others.

I truly enjoy being a part of someone’s journey out of their past trauma and move to their new life as a survivor.
“This Too Shall Pass”. This is my mantra in life which has helped me cope with life’s difficult times. I have always liked helping people in some capacity. While seeing mental health conditions while growing up and the stigma around dealing with our mental health, this has inspired me to be a counselor. It is so important to take care of our whole self, our mind, body and spirit. I understand the importance of seeking professional help and how brave people are to try counseling to better themselves and their situation. I am proud of you for taking that first step.

Has your child been through a lot? Maybe they're grieving a loss. Maybe they've experienced trauma. Maybe their pain is showing up as self-harm or acting out. It's so difficult to see your child hurting! Sometimes parents can feel so helpless when it comes to their child's mental health needs. It's hard to know

Trauma and PTSD Therapists

When should I seek treatment for trauma?

Not everyone who undergoes trauma needs therapy to heal, but many do. If, after experiencing a traumatic event, you find yourself struggling with symptoms such as nightmares, dissociation, irritability, or emotional numbness—especially if these symptoms last more than a month and are severe enough to interfere with your daily functioning—you may benefit from seeking out therapy with a trauma-informed provider.

How long does trauma therapy take?

Different types of therapy for trauma unfold on different timelines. Prolonged exposure therapy and cognitive processing therapy, for example, each take about three months, while trauma-informed CBT may last anywhere from 8 to 25 sessions. Other approaches, especially those that are less structured or that incorporate elements from multiple modalities, may be more open-ended, though many patients report feeling better within the first few months of treatment.

What happens if trauma is left untreated?

Unaddressed trauma can have serious—even devastating—effects on relationships, career, and day-to-day functioning. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can lead people to distrust or lash out at others, making it difficult to maintain intimate relationships; it can also trigger symptoms such as flashbacks or hyperreactivity that can interfere with a person’s ability to function effectively, personally and/or professionally. Some sufferers turn to drugs to find relief. Symptoms may lessen on their own with time, but there is no guarantee that PTSD will resolve on its own.

Can PTSD come back after treatment?

It is possible for PTSD symptoms to recur months or years after successful treatment. This is because, like most mental health disorders, it is not possible to “cure” PTSD, and stressful life events may cause symptoms to recur in even the most resilient individuals. There is no shame in re-experiencing PTSD symptoms nor in returning to therapy when such relapses occur; indeed, many forms of trauma therapy explicitly encourage periodic “maintenance sessions” to reinforce coping skills and ensure that symptoms stay manageable.
