I work with a diverse group of men and women aged 18 and up. All gender identities and cultural identities are welcome. I am experienced and comfortable with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, personality issues, cognitive difficulties, and substance abuse. I create a safe and welcoming environment where the client feels safe to express whatever ideas and emotions they wish to. Where they feel free to be exactly who they are without pretense. I use whatever combination of theoretical approaches to therapy I think will be the most useful in providing the client with tools to make the changes in their life that they want to see.

I am passionate about helping individuals find their inner strength and voice. I started my own practice, Paris Counseling, after realizing my desire for an open-minded, non-judgmental and safe atmosphere where I can bring compassion, honesty, and humor to therapy. If you are looking for an uptight, stuffy therapist, this probably is not your stop. With my own company, I can ensure all my fellow therapists and employees share my vision. I use a solution-focused approach and work collaboratively with my clients, their support systems, and any other means of assistance, to ensure they receive optimum care.

As a clinician it is my goal is not to focus on treatment, but to join the client through the process of healing. The way I do this is by getting in depth understanding of hearing the narrative of my client's lived experiences and starting at the place of their choosing. It is important to me build a strong connection to the clients I serve. Therefore, they can achieve be in a space where they can be open and allow the process of healing to occur.

Tired of people who just don’t "get” you because you’re different? Looking for someone who will affirm you and your identity? Maybe you need help with depression, anxiety, addiction, or relationship issues but you’re worried about being misunderstood or judged for being queer. Or maybe the issue IS sorting out your sexual orientation or gender identity. As a transman, I get what that feels like. This is a safe space for you. I have more than 25 years of experience in helping people improve their mood and their lives. We'll work on getting you feeling better, even when the world has been less than kind. You deserve no less.

“I’m tired of dealing with this. I need help.” There's a set of unwanted guests stuck at your emotional table: Fear. Guilt. Regret. Anger. These guests are stopping you from enjoying your life. It's hard to make friends with people at work or school because it’s hard to trust them. Safety is a luxury so you're cautious anywhere you go. Most nights, you can't sleep because of the Worry Wheel spinning in your head keeping you up at night. Add in nightly nightmares and sleep is a luxury. Why is this happening? Abuse, neglect, loss, failed relationships, near death experiences are holding your life hostage. So what now?
