Hello there! I’m an LCSW and I practice mental health therapy at Old Towne Counseling of Newburgh. I am taking new clients! I am an EMDR Trained Clinician, and I am very excited to be able to offer this service to the public because of how helpful it can be! I’ve been practicing therapy since I graduated with my MSW from IUPUI in 2017.

I believe one of the bravest things you can do is begin to understand your own story. Your story is much more than surface level and you get to choose what defines you. There comes a time in life where we find ourselves longing for change, whether that be with life transitions, mental health such as anxiety or depression, relationships, self-esteem, past experiences or trauma, or what to do next. The MOS Program is designed specifically for our Veteran population in an effort to decrease stress in their environments and relationships which arise following enlistments and deployments. The focus of the 12 to 16 weeks of sessions is on teaching veterans the process of gentling and educating wild mustangs using Brain-Based Horsemanship, not the verbalization of past trauma. Through this process, we can begin to instill the same neurological changes in the human participants as the mustangs. We allow the mustangs to be the teachers who help veterans understanding of themselves through immediate and unbiased feedback.

Hi there! My name is Nadia and I am a licensed social worker. I have provided services to kiddos, teens, and adults who are struggling with depression, anxiety, low self esteem, trauma, life transitions, relational conflicts, and substance use. My past experiences have given me the opportunity to support individuals within the school systems, outpatient mental health, residential treatment facilities, and corrections.

I’m a licensed clinical psychologist and I earned my Psy.D. from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2008. My graduate training focused on the treatment of health and trauma, and to this day, I remain passionate about helping others work through the emotional and interpersonal effects of psychological trauma, depression, anxiety and loss. It takes strength and courage to come to therapy and I respect and supprort each client, never forgetting how difficult that first step can often be.

I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced life changes, trauma, stressors, and/or struggled with substance use. I aim to partner with clients to understand what changes they are looking for, and walk along side them as they achieve their goals. I strongly believe that change is possible and that every human can grow to be the self they strive for. I find I work well with those who are neurodivergent either through ADHD, Autism Spectrum, or trauma. I am able to help those who struggle with depression and anxiety. Through my professional experience I have helped individuals who have encountered different forms of trauma, domestic violence, loss, relationship distress, family conflict, depression, anxiety, and those struggling through major life changes or adjustments, including sobriety. Every person is unique along with their circumstances, so I will focus on their needs in counseling by utilizing different therapy approaches such as, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness-based practices, and interpersonal therapy.

As an owner of a small private practice, I have come to know the ins and outs of mental health, as well as the system framework in which it exists. For clients, this means that I can help link you to the best fit within our practice for ongoing care, or provide a one-time comprehensive assessment (per your prescriber's request, or for clearance for certain surgeries). For professionals, this means I have been through the process of opening a small business, and can provide consulting services to help guide you as you open yours.

I'm NOT taking new clients right now. It is important to me to create space for the clients I work with, even if, unfortunately, I don't get to work with some amazing clients.
