This includes Relational and Attachment Based Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR).
Therapy is about allowing ourselves space to process and to heal. I specialize in working with individuals who struggle with past and present trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, and relationship issues. I offer a warm, nonjudgemental space to process your emotions and experiences and gain awareness into patterns and blind spots that you would like to change. Through this awareness, you can then start to foster meaningful change to create the life you want to live. Living a fulfilling life is rooted in intentionality, and intentionality starts with awareness.

Applying an integrative approach, I incorporate psychodynamic methodology with interventions such as; EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Narrative, and somatic therapies.
As a functional therapist, I am passionate about journeying with clients as they return to their authentic Self. The work I focus on in the counseling room is root-cause or “trauma-informed”, meaning together we will discover the moment(s) of harm that are still carried in your mind and body today. When overwhelm, stress, and trauma are unattended to, they can manifest as depression, anxiety, low-self esteem, and emotional dysregulation – even physical pain and disease. Sometimes it’s possible to pin-point the exact moment, while others are struggling to understand what has gotten them to “this place” – and that is okay!

Life has its ups and downs, and at times we all feel stuck and not sure how to change but we know "something" has to change. I am here to help you! 85% of the time Depression and Anxiety co-exist. Depression takes away our motivation, energy and our ability to connect with others which only leads us to further sadness. Anxiety is ever present in our daily lives with thoughts of worry and over thinking everything. There is hope using cutting edge therapies such as Neuroscience, CBT, ACT, MCT, Polyvagel and EMDR. These techniques bring the science to therapy.

I have advanced training in treating trauma and PTSD, including the use of EMDR.
As a Clinical Psychologist in practice for over 25 years, I specialize working with adults working through the barriers that keep them stuck in unproductive patterns that limit their life potential. Hardships, losses, and traumas often create beliefs that are self-limiting. These beliefs often stand in the way of the life you want to live. Counseling can be a powerful pathway toward discovering and developing your unique and whole self. Counseling starts with facing the pain that prompts you to seek help. Facing the starting point of anger, anxiety, depression, loss, or relationship pain leads to the work of therapy.

I utilize trauma-informed art therapy, IFS, and EMDR.
My passion and focus in therapy is treating individuals and family systems with complex and developmental trauma. This includes survivors of childhood trauma and caregivers who are navigating the complexities of foster care, adoption, and/or parenting with their own history of childhood trauma. I use a few different therapeutic modalities to best fit my client’s needs, and as a board certified art therapist I like to utilize art making and creativity in my sessions to deepen client’s understanding and build trust.

I am trained in CBT, EMDR and IFS- which are very helpful modalities in treating a myriad of issues and traumas from the big, major, life events to the small cuts and abrasions incurred just from living in the modern era.
It is common to feel like the wheels have fallen off after life hands you the unexpected. It is my passion to help adults who have been contending with stressful, often traumatizing, life experiences to heal, restore and transform.

Through a combination of EMDR, the Strengths Perspective, CBT, and DBT, you will develop new ways of thinking and find healthy coping strategies that are effective for you and your lifestyle.
I believe we all have a story and our experiences and interactions with others throughout our lives shape that story. Whether the story is predominantly positive or negative, we all have the power within us to edit or rewrite it to realize our dreams and wishes. Through focusing on one’s strengths, challenging negative thought processes, and addressing trauma, I enjoy partnering with clients to empower them to edit their story so they are able to move forward and achieve the life they have always envisioned for themselves.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker. I am a strong believer that your mental health deserves the same treatment and commitment as your physical health. Before starting a counseling relationship, it is crucial to assess your therapist and ensure feeling comfortable with them. You must decide who you trust to be vulnerable in processing your emotions. Together we can explore your experience and find lifelong coping skills that will forever empower you.

I completed a year long training in Compassionate Inquiry under the direct supervision of the cofounder Sat Dharam, and am trained in IFS and EMDR (EMDR Institute).
Finding the right therapist can be difficult, so let's jump right in: I am trained to treat a variety of anxiety and depressive disorders in adults and have specialized interest and training working with individuals who have complex trauma stemming from childhood. Depression, anxiety, panic, anger, shame, or difficulty trusting others are all normal responses to adverse childhood situations, and I believe nobody should have to process and understand these experiences alone. I value the opportunity to accompany clients through their memories and experiences to help them envision a safer, and more hopeful, future for themselves.

My specialty is infusing cognitive behavioral therapy and EMDR (for trauma) with Mindfulness (Breathwork/Yoga/Meditation) & Music and Sound therapy.
Our world is changing at such a rapid pace. You may feel it's difficult to cope with all these shifts in your life, and to keep up with daily routines. We have all been through a huge upheaval the past several years. Are you looking for a safe, non-judgmental place to process some of these challenges? Or maybe you need some tools and resources to help you (or a loved one) manage anxiety, stress or trauma. Maybe your child/tween/teen/20 yr old has become surprisingly disagreeable, spending less time with family, pushing you away. You may notice changes in appearance, or name. Whether sudden or gradual, you may not know how to cope.

I am a Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist trained in EMDR.
Suffering is often the result of less than nurturing relationships and experiences. Fear can become imprisoned in the body. Family and culture can dictate how safe it is, or not safe, to express and be yourself. My immigrant experience from Taiwan allows me deeper empathy with people navigating life transitions and relating to different cultures and new relationships. At Embodied Way Psychotherapy PLLC, I strive to empower individuals within the context of systemic injustice and complications. My work is to provide compassion and wisdom so that you can feel fully alive and authentic in your body, your world and your relationships.
