I have advanced training and experience in counseling the elderly and also in serving individuals impacted by the trauma of sexual abuse and domestic violence.
“Thanks for listening, for not judging.” When I hear that, I know we’re on the right track. Why? That’s why I’m here, to listen and learn with you, not to judge. By listening together, we are able to look into and understand the ways we think when we’re challenged, stressed, or hurting. We explore how our thinking might be helping us or getting in our way. Working together we can find a new perspective or explore a new set of coping skills that can lead to hope, healing, and a new start on life. We start with your concerns, your goals, and we grow in understanding and in developing helpful tools for the challenges and joys of life.

I’m Tonye Denise Lattimore, the curator of Get Your Mind Right Therapy Services. I work best with clients who have experienced relationship, religious, and childhood trauma (can include abandonment, domestic violence, rape) which has in turn affected how you relate to yourself and to the world. Trauma has a way of showing up in our relationships and within ourselves, oftentimes appearing as lack of trust, cutting other’s off, disconnects, addiction of all sorts, isolation, anxiety, and depression. If you are ready to do your healing work, I would love to partner with you.
