My practice is based on the belief that people have potential for self-awareness, growth and positive change. Psychotherapy can be tremendously helpful, whether you are struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, relationship conflicts, traumatic experiences, or any other life challenges. Taking into consideration early development, peer and family relationships, health, mind, finances, relational contexts, and work/career satisfaction, can help understand your current concerns. I believe deeply in the therapeutic dialogue as a means for understanding and integrating these aspects of oneself. Awareness of this unique information can increase insight, enhance personal growth, create life satisfaction and happiness, and provide a resolution of conflicts.
I have a wide variety of professional experiences: working with young adults, adults and couples who present with a broad range of concerns. I have experience using several theoretical models, and am adept at working over a brief time period, or with a more open- ended, exploratory time frame.
I have advanced training and supervision in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the Psychoanalytic Center of California. I work collaboratively and supportively, honoring one's unique personal history, providing insight, and illuminating links between the past and the present, ultimately creating new ways of dealing with life challenges.
