Greetings, For as far back as I remember, it has been my desire to serve people. Throughout my education and life experience, I have acquired strong skill sets that could be an asset to anyone who is willing to roll up their sleeves and put in the work to achieve their desired goals. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Licensed Practitioner of The Healing Arts, with a Master’s degree in Social Work, and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from CSWE accredited University, Chicago State University.

Finding a therapist can be an overwhelming task. Life can be full of complexities that can be difficult to navigate. Considering that you may be feeling sad or overwhelmed, I commend you for taking the brave first steps towards taking care of yourself. I believe in the value and worth of the person and that we all possess strengths to help us in the journey of life. Throughout my experience of practicing, a common need I have recognized is 'space'. Often individuals are seeking a safe space to be. To be themselves. To be seen. To be heard. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), National Certified Counselor and a fully trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist . I received my Master of Arts/Science degree from Roosevelt University. I specialize in Trauma, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD),anxiety, depression, addictions, fears, guilt and a range of life adjustment issues. I work with individuals to help make sense of the past to understand and neutralize the negative influence it has on present functioning and relationships. By clearing up the "debri" from the past, we can fully focus on being our best in the present and future.

Coming to therapy can be an intimidating process. I do my best to make my clients feel comfortable whether we are meeting online or in person. The last thing people want is an uptight, professional that makes them feel like they need to censor themselves. I am conversational, warm, and look forward to developing a therapeutic relationship with adolescent and adult clientele. I pride myself on being non-judgmental and create a safe space where clients can be vulnerable to share anything they may need to - expletives and all.

Hello! I'm Kelly. I was born and raised in Southern Illinois. I grew up in a military family and so have a sense of understanding of how community can help. I received my MSW in Social Work from SIU Edwardsville in 2013 and got my LCSW in 2017. I have worked with children in all different settings since 2014. The LGBTQ community has been a part of my practice, especially when working in the most rural of areas. I have helped children and adults with different diagnoses over the course of my career and continue growing in my knowledge of how to serve each individual.

I am a therapist who believes that you know what you want, and what is best for you, but you do not know how to do this and you, me, we all are up against serious life obstacles and could benefit from a caring, realistic, genuine and honest feedback, suggestions, ideas that actually may work towards what it is you may be living, surviving and wanting more for yourself and life.

I have delivered services in a variety of contexts: schools, hospitals, and community mental health agencies.
