I have worked to include spirituality, creativity, recovery principles from various traditions, and my knowledge of Family Systems to accompany families on their journey, so that our brief connections can have impact through these weeks, and through life. I value family input and involvement, social supports, and evidence-based methods, but more so I value my client's individual personal journey.

Hello, my name is Rocky Mays and I am currently accepting new clients. I have a sliding scale depending on household income ranging from $80-$130. I offer in-person and virtual appointments in the afternoons, evenings, and Saturdays. I specialize in working with teens, adults, parents, veterans, seniors, and couples on a wide range of identified concerns. I am currently a counselor for the Federal Government. My experiences also include working with youth in the justice system, providing clinical services for treatment centers, and working with veterans and their families struggling with various conditions.

As a therapist, my goal is to help you recognize your strengths, develop the skills to cope, and live your life to its fullest potential, in whatever way that may look for you. For many of us, difficult emotions, thoughts, or behaviors get in the way and create roadblocks or barriers. My work as a therapist and an art therapist since 2014 has focused on supporting clients through life transitions, grief, identity concerns, coping with symptoms of anxiety and depression, and reducing pain while increasing ability for coping. I have experiences working with individuals in individual and group therapy using talk therapy and also art therapy. My populations have included emerging adults and adults at other points in their lifespan. I very much enjoy supporting clients in navigating considerations around identity and racial/cultural experiences. I am strengths-based and goal focused.

Kendra is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and Missouri. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in social work. Kendra is an EMDR trained therapist; she is also trained in CBT and Solution-Focused Therapy. She has experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and many more. Some of her other specialties include those dealing with suicidal ideations, grief and loss, and anger.

Since then, I have had the opportunity to serve a diverse range of clients in community and private practice settings. I have provided individual, family and group therapy to adults and children. I specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma in their life to include children, adolescents, and veterans.
