Being a native of Puerto Rico, I also love working with the Spanish- speaking community.

My name is Dr. Jennifer Lang and I have been working in private practice for over ten years and have recently started my own practice named "Fluckin' Therapy". I am currently providing individual therapy via telehealth for children aged 11 and older, adolescents, and adults. I treat anxiety, depression, self-injury, eating disorders, and substance abuse as well as specialize in the complex patient. I am an Emotion Focused therapist who believes you have to go through difficult emotions in order to transform them. I will work with you to establish the support system and skills needed in order to achieve your personal goals.

As a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, I work with individual clients in the diagnosis and treatment of mood and anxiety disorders, eating disorders and addictions. I work with a diversity of people to better understand their personal psychology and behavior, resulting in new options and positive outcomes. Additionally, I offer assistance for couples struggling with infidelity, communication, conflict resolution and resentment.

Reaching out for help through counseling can be difficult so please recognize that by doing so you are already taking an important step. It is my hope that I can provide the support that you need during the challenges you are dealing with currently. It is important to me to meet you where you are at in your journey and help you identify, explore, and problem-solve what you need right now and also in the long term. As a functional therapist, I am passionate about journeying with clients as they return to their authentic Self. The work I focus on in the counseling room is root-cause or “trauma-informed”, meaning together we will discover the moment(s) of harm that are still carried in your mind and body today. When overwhelm, stress, and trauma are unattended to, they can manifest as depression, anxiety, low-self esteem, and emotional dysregulation – even physical pain and disease. Sometimes it’s possible to pin-point the exact moment, while others are struggling to understand what has gotten them to “this place” – and that is okay!

I am here to walk the journey alongside you. Life presents many challenges and adapting to a new "normal" is hard and perception can be glum. It feels like your sense of direction is confusing and uncertain. Relationships have lost their meaning, abundance and joy feel unattainable, and support stands at too far a distance for you to feel grounded in love and security.

Do you ever get caught off guard by a feeling that seems to come out of the blue? In some cases, you can "power through it" and not let it impact you too much, but other times it seems to paralyze you. In these times of paralysis, a little voice shows up and says "You shouldn't feel that way" or some version of "toughen up". While these ideas seem good in theory, they just don't take into account these feelings that are present. Therapy presents us with an opportunity to change the narrative.

Roshni, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, holds a Master’s degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology (Argosy University). With a wealth of experience in Family Therapy, Individual Therapy, and Group Therapy, she specializes in addressing eating disorders, self-injury disorders, depression, anxiety, and adjustment concerns, among others. Roshni’s expertise extends to educating family members on supporting their loved ones in times of struggle.Roshni’s professional interests encompass a broad spectrum, including disordered eating, generational and cultural concerns, women’s issues to name a few.

I am a generalist in the provision of psychotherapy. The quality of the therapeutic relationship is essential to successful therapy outcomes. To that end I provide an authentic, empathic, honest, direct, but not directive, therapeutic presence. I am very responsive to patients' needs and requests. My integrative approach is molded to the needs of each patient. I present in an empathic, honest, open manner while utilizing client-centered and cognitive therapy orientations. I am well versed and trained in relaxation/stress management, and hypnotherapy techniques, and when indicated, with patient support, bring those interventions into the therapeutic process.

Even the healthiest of individuals experience times when extra support can be beneficial. Therapy can be a wonderful support to help navigate life in a healthier way. I enjoy helping people explore how they would like their lives to be different and helping them achieve this. My clients describe my style as compassionate and non-judgmental but also very interactive, appreciating my willingness to hold them accountable for changes they would like to make. I feel it is my honor and privilege to be allowed into people's lives in this way.

I’m a licensed psychotherapist with experience working with children, adolescents, adults, families, and couples. I have also worked as a school counselor and as a behavior therapist for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I believe in making therapy as easy as possible and creating a therapeutic environment in which my clients feel comfortable; sessions with my clients are always a safe space.
