Trained in Systems Therapy at the Family Institute at Northwestern University, my orientation is to use relationships to strengthen our understanding of one another, and of ourselves. I value the humanistic experience most of all, and strive to learn as much as possible about one's past motivations and ways of coping. I also believe that the therapeutic relationship is the key ingredient in effecting change. I use compassion and acceptance as tools to help create space for that change.

Your relationship with family, friends, and, of course, yourself is of the most importance. I believe there is no good reason for you to be alone with grief, insecurity, low self-esteem, shame, loneliness, fear, worry, and anxiety. As a transnational and transracial adoptee with complex backgrounds, I'm passionate about working with the multicultural and multiracial individuals, adoptees and adolescents and adults from diverse racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds. I have experience working with individuals from marginalized communities experiencing a range of traumas, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, stressors, identity issues, etc. I understand adoptees may face unique difficulties, including interracial family conflict, self-esteem issues, race and cultural identity confusion, and feelings of grief and loss.
