At The Juniper Center you will find LGBTQ centered care. We are owned and directed by a therapist and a member of our community. Your name, your pronouns, your identity belong to you. Helping you heal belongs with us. You don't want to have to hide any of who you are. Whether your gender does not match your body, your identity does not match your gender, you love someone born the same sex as you or you love someone who is working their way through these issues, we are here to help. I am an experienced therapist who has worked with all ages and in numerous areas of life difficulties, both longer and shorter term. I work with clients based on strengths and developing insights into how issues develop and how to proactively address these issues. My work focuses on establishing a strong, trusting relationship from which to move forward.

I have been helping people overcome life's challenges for 20+ years. I utilize a strength-based individual supportive approach to life stressors, family conflict, and behavioral issues. I work with adults, adolescents, and families struggling with a full range of issues, including those related to drug and alcohol addiction. I have experience with the adult and juvenile criminal justice systems, drug courts, the Health and Human Services systems, and the local school systems. I have provided individual and group therapy to the criminal justice population, as well as group therapy to those involved in out-patient substance abuse programs.

I am a licensed clinical professional counselor providing individual, couple, and family therapy in the Northwest Suburbs. I have over 20 years of counseling experience with children, teens, and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, attachment, ADHD, infertility, grief and loss, dating, relationships, women's issues, aging, and trauma.

I provide positive and action oriented, directive therapy to help you through depression, anxiety, relationship,and school and work issues. Treatment is focused on achieving goals-emotional, spiritual and physical to live an abundant life. Life does not have to be hard! I am an advocate of positive psychology and the Law of Attraction--there is no upside to negativity, I help my clients get back on a positive path.

Therapy can be an awkward and nerve-wracking experience, but it is also a beautifully rewarding and fulfilling process to help you live the life you want. I am a licensed professional counselor and my goal is to help clients work towards their desired goals and lifestyle. With an empathetic and warm approach, I encourage clients to identify their ups and downs and provide them with empathy, compassion, and courage throughout the process. By using a strength-based approach, my goal is to help individuals work through distressing situations.

I received my Master of Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I practice in partnership with my clients to achieve deeper insight, connect to core values, and prevail through hardship in a meaningful way. Each situation is unique and a deep understanding of clients and their experience of the world is critical. My orientation is humanistic, relational, and systems-based and I am passionate about providing holistic, innovative, and compassionate care.

My name is Allison, but prefer to go by Ally. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, receiving my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Illinois University. I offer psycho-education, talk therapy, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavior therapies, and dialectical behavior therapies.

Healing begins when we are seen and heard, and can finally see & hear ourselves more clearly. Authentically. If you notice persistent negative thoughts, feel anxious when alone and/or with others, find yourself worrying, lack the motivation to accomplish your goals, are not sure what your goals are, and/or often feel frustrated with others, I believe I can help you. You will learn to reduce unnecessary mind chatter and focus on what's truly important to you. I am an active listener who will provide the ear for you to explore your habits, thoughts, and feelings and from there come closer to designing the life you want.

All services will be provided via Teletherapy and phone sessions due to COVID-19 pandemic. All sessions are conducted via a confidential telehealth platform.
