My counseling approach reflects academic training, personal experience as an active duty military spouse and mother "“ all of these experiences shaped my outlook and foundational beliefs. I believe we are unique and complex with a variety of needs, but the baseline is rooted in human interaction comprised of caring, respect, acceptance, support, and understanding. We all possess the capacity for change from within. However, we sometimes need an external catalyst that a counselor may provide utilizing a safe and therapeutic environment comprised of genuineness and empathy.

My therapy practice, Neil D. Shere and Associates, is composed of seven highly skilled, dedicated and compassionate therapists. Each of our therapists is highly qualified, and offers a personalized approach to mental health counseling. As the owner and director of the practice, I view the therapeutic relationship as one of collaboration and support, working together in a client centered, individual growth model of therapy.

As a LSW with over 8 years of experience, I provide support and resources to individuals contending with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, trauma and grief. I am currently accepting clients. I conduct my sessions via Telehealth/video. The treatment modalities that I have utilized the most are cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, strengths-based and solution-focused therapy. An ideal client is one that can collaborate with me to develop a working relationship based on trust and patience. I aim to work with my client to gain insight into hindering behaviors and explore positive outlets to reduce these behaviors.

Adriana provides an inviting and comfortable environment for clients to heal and explore emotions related to past conflict as well as current stressors such as life transitions, relationship issues and internal conflict. Adriana provides therapy for individuals and families. Adriana uses a non-judgemental approach while still challenging the client to work towards individualized goals.

Toya is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has more than 10 years of"¯experience providing individual, family and group counseling to adults, children and adolescents and their families in inpatient and outpatient settings. Toya"¯uses a variety of treatment methods ranging from expressive and experiential techniques to cognitive behavioral approaches with the intent to help individuals improve their level of functioning by becoming empowered to manage the complexities of their lives. Hello! I’m Dr. Kala Taylor ,(She), I currently work private practice with (The Psychology Center) in Chicago. Previously I worked psychotherapy in the State Government Correctional setting under the exempt licensure title Clinical Psychologist/Sr Psych. Inmates under my care have described my therapeutic approach as "nonjudgmental" and "compassionate." My personal experiences have led me to cultivate a deep empathy for all beings. and I’m committed to being (not just inclusive but) welcoming towards “others.” My experience working in mental health has led me to focus on working to help individuals with personal challenges.

Stephanie has over 20 years of experience in the mental health field, working extensively with survivors of trauma and helping others cope through life's everyday challenges. She has found that most people don't seek help when they first need it because they believe they can "do it" themselves.

In therapy, my style is to act as a Guide, not as an Expert. YOU are the expert on YOU! I believe that it is often problematic when others, (including Therapists), try to tell Clients what they should Think, Feel and Do. This is especially true, if they don't even really know you. My goal is to NEVER do this to YOU! I will always strive to give you the right to be yourself and to make your own choices, when YOU are ready!
