Working with clients to build their sense of self-worth, enhance self-efficacy, and reframe negative thought patterns are a few of my areas of interest. I am passionate about working with individuals ranging in age from adolescent through adulthood. Other areas of focus are helping clients to identify moods and symptoms of disorders associated with moods, helping clients transition between roles in their life, helping to strengthen the mind body connection, and helping clients to find healthy balance in their life.

Erika Figgers is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2013. She has a Masters of Social Work from Indiana University. Erika has experience working with individuals impacted by mental health, trauma, substance abuse, HIV, grief/loss, and homelessness. She is passionate about her work because she feels everyone has the capacity to learn, change, and create a better quality of life. Erika approaches her clients with holistic counseling to look at all areas of their life to create strategies to meet their needs.

We all need support in our lives and on our journeys, whether the journey is navigating a divorce emotionally intact, a sojourn through grief and loss of a loved one/job/identity/health, healing from complex trauma, or a journey of self actualization. I work with clients to assist them through a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting obstacles, career challenges, and communication problems. I also work with many people who have experienced physical, sexual, or emotional abuse, trauma, and survivors of suicide.

Living with a chronic medical illness can be challenging. Depression, anxiety, fears, loss of identity, and doubt are all common, and physicians are continuing to acknowledge that how we feel mentally affects our physical symptoms. Navigating the medical system, treatments, and socializing can be stressful. We're dedicated to helping children (6-17) and adults navigate life with a chronic illness, with all of the social and emotional parts that may not be addressed in your doctor visits. At some point, we all experience changes that are difficult to adjust to. They throw us off balance and everything can seem more confusing, upsetting, and overwhelming. These are life events that prompt processing and healing. I specialize in working with individuals who are feeling dissatisfied in their relationship and/or in the relationships in their life, contemplating a break-up/divorce, those who are struggling to cope with the loss of a loved one, as well as those who are having a hard time adjusting to recent changes and life events.

Leslie Frame-Crowley is a Licensed Social Worker in Illinois who has been practicing since 2019. She graduated from Simmons University in Boston. Leslie approaches the therapeutic relationship from a client-centered perspective, believing that the client is the expert of their experience. Being a social worker, Leslie also maintains a person-in-environment perspective, meaning we are shaped by and always affecting the ecosystems of which we are a part. In her spare time, Leslie enjoys walking, socializing, community-making, writing, performance art, and exploring her hometown of Chicago.

I believe that times of crisis can also be times of transition and development. As a therapist, I strive to help clients put family and individual crises in the proper perspective, so they can begin to mobilize their own resources for change. Acceptance and insight into oneself and one's situation are powerful tools that therapy can enhance, both for adults and children of all ages. I have years of therapy experience helping clients cope with painful and difficult situations, including addiction/compulsions, damaged relationships, bereavement/loss, and abuse. The first session can be a powerful and positive step.

Building resiliency isn't always about overcoming the mountain sized obstacles. Sometimes, its about overcoming the desire to stay in bed all day, or have popcorn for dinner the fifth day in a row, or have just one more drink at the end of the day. Trauma, and its positive counter-part- Healing, is within each of us. Cultivating a positive support system and partnership is all about accessing the natural power you hold within yourself. Within each individual, and couple, embracing healing is possible. I believe in empowering people to build a relationship with themselves in such a way that they develop internal trust and reliance.

As a sex and couple therapist, I believe that all problems are relational- one of you is not "the problem"- your patterns of relating to one another that have become twisted with hurt and resentment over time are the problem. My style of conducting therapy is validating, structured, goal-oriented, observational and direct, with an element of coaching through in-session interventions and homework to complete outside of our meetings.

I am a fully licensed therapist offering remote mental health services to adults at Hope Psychological Services, PLLC, located in the heart of Oak Park. From my comprehensive clinical training and professional experience, I have acquired the skills to work with individuals presenting with symptoms of complex trauma/PTSD, domestic and sexual violence, childhood abuse, dissociative disorders, mood disorders, anxiety, stress, grief/loss, and relationship issues. Additionally, I am fully trained in EMDR and I hold 5 certifications in the areas of: trauma, domestic violence, sexual violence, grief, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

I sought a Master’s degree in Social Work and upon graduating in 2012 it has been my pleasure to work with people of all ages and stages of life to help them find their voice, their sense of balance, and most importantly, their compassion for themselves.

Our life's work is helping clients achieve a better sense of self and happiness...more recently we've recognized that without good mental health providers, finding this balance in life can be more difficult and stressful. As a result, we tend toward an Integrative approach and help our clients transform into the people they want to be. We see each client as an individual with many parts to their identity. Utilizing a holistic and systemic approach we help clients reintegrate the parts of themselves to function better as individuals and within their systems. As a young professional, mother of 3, and a wife in a blended family, I am well acquainted with the challenges faced by individuals and couples as they begin careers, endeavor to develop friendships, foster long-term relationships, and step into marriage and parenting. My ideal client or couple is seeking mental health support regarding past trauma(s), depression/anxiety, workplace stressors, relationship/sex/intimacy issues, family issues... basically anything that is impacting their ideal functioning. They want to process and put forth work towards therapeutic goals to improve their daily functioning. They may be POC, LGBTQIA+, parents, high performing professionals, and/or emerging adults. Most importantly, they are ready and willing to participate in sessions to work towards their healing.
