I am a Clinical Psychologist practicing in the field of psychology for about 7 years. I have experience in working in various clinical settings including a school, psychiatric hospitals, autism family and resource center, intensive outpatient day treatment center, as well as private practice. My private practice consists of providing psychotherapy as well as psychological and neuropsychological testing. All of my clinical services are in English and Polish. Sometimes we get stuck in life. We can feel lonely and may not fully determine where our pain is coming from. Through non-judgmental and objective listening, I will help you define the issues you might be facing, that prevent you from living to your fullest. Through a trusting relationship with you, I will guide and empower you by creatively solving your problems and achieving your goals. I will offer you the tools that will help you deal with the current problems that you may be facing, as well as problems that might arise in the future.

You may come to see me for a variety of reasons. Sometimes it's the way you are feeling and other times it's an event or situation you find yourself in life. I have come to understand that what underlies our conscious concerns or problems is the root cause of our experience of sadness, anxiety, or general life dissatisfaction. I am a licensed clinician psychologist who has experience working with diverse client needs. I have treated clients with mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders and comorbid substance abuse. My internship and post-doctoral training has provided me with unique training in providing therapy and neuropsychological assessment to patients with dementia, brain injury, stroke, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis and other medical conditions that are comorbid with psychiatric illnesses.

My interest includes cross-cultural issues with couples, individual therapy, and group therapy. I have extensive experience working with adults who are coping with trauma, domestic violence, struggle with depression, anxiety and addiction. My earlier work focused on immigrants and refugees who have experienced trauma. The therapeutic relationship gives clients a chance to safely explore new effective coping mechanisms to improve the quality of their lives. I help my clients develop self-awareness and improve emotional intelligence, as well as create healthier habits, and learn effective strategies to handle life transitions. Patrycja is a Chicago based Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in therapy for adults with trauma, c-PTSD, anxiety, ADHD, addictions, and challenging life transitions. She cares deeply about the individuals she serves, and strives to provide a supportive and impactful therapeutic experience. She practices from a psychodynamic and humanistic framework, and has a profound curiosity about the complexity of the human experience. She is passionate about demystifying the process of therapy.

She graduated with her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from National Louis University and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
