I specialize in supporting adults facing various challenges such as life transitions, anxiety, depression, parenting, relationship issues, and work-related stress. Video sessions are available for clients in Louisiana, Texas, Illinois and Georgia. Currently, all sessions are conducted virtually.

At different times throughout your life, there may be obstacles interfering with your personal sense of peace and well being, peace in your relationships, and/or your family’s joy and peace. You may not feel like yourself (or you may feel like your child isn’t his/herself). You may feel lost trying to identify the problems or choose a course. We can help. With compassion, insight, and expertise, we will assess the various issues and their layers, and together we will come up with a plan to help you find peace within yourself and your family.

Supervising since 2005, and a previous Director of Training with over 20 years of experience, I consider it a privilege to offer meaningful work for children, adolescents, adults, couples, parents, and families. Through a genuine caregiving, positive lens we provide support to others. Through the relationship-oriented, Inner Humanism approach, we offer an understanding of development across the lifespan. The care individuals receive is characterized by achieving an inner well-being and happiness that remains stable and conflict free regardless of life obstacles, family changes, and daily ups and downs.

It can come in the form of pressures from the outside world, the inner criticisms we feel, or trauma and stress we have experienced. Some may have felt they’ve lost connections within themselves because of the chaos and devastation that life sometimes brings. All these factors can play a role in making someone feel unbalanced.

My ideal client is looking for change and a therapist that is going to "shoot straight" with them and do more than just nod their head in agreement. My ideal client is looking for direction and change in their lives and wants a partner in change. I work with my ideal client on anxiety, major depression, trauma, couples counseling, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional-defiant disorder (ODD), and substance abuse, and LGBTQIA+ issues.

I provide individually tailored treatment in a safe and supportive environment that draws and builds upon each person's strengths, resources, wisdom and goals. My style is collaborative, warm and interactive. I enjoy working with a range of clients from children to adults. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, healing from trauma, major life transitions, grief & loss, identity development, self-esteem difficulties, coping with medical health issues and illnesses, dual diagnosis (substance abuse and co-occurring psychiatric disorders), mindful living, and cultivating self-compassion.

I love supporting People of Color. I also have a special interest in meeting the mental health needs and concerns of those that identify as Black and/or African through a culturally sensitive lens. I strive to really listen attentively to you and/or your child, help you make sense of how you or your child's symptoms developed, and provide an active, results-oriented approach regardless of which type of pain you or your child are in. I thoughtfully integrate evidence-based treatments to help reduce your symptoms as quickly as possible.

Baiba Davydenkovas is a bilingual Licensed Social Worker in Illinois, practicing since 2018. She brings a multicultural, diverse, and non-judgmental approach to her work with individuals, couples, families, and groups. Baiba earned her bachelor’s degree in Latvia in 2020 and graduated from Aurora University with her LSW. With over four years of experience, she specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and realistic interventions. Baiba helps clients connect with their undiscovered strengths and resources, encouraging them to find hope and resilience after loss, divorce, depression, trauma, abuse, life-altering experiences.
