I enjoy working with pre-teens, adolescents, adults, and couples who face diverse challenges. I seek to provide a collaborative and caring environment for processing difficult life events. I encourage individuals to develop healthy ways of caring for themselves as they develop acceptance and greater ownership of their life story.

Sometimes we need help to gently untangle complicated situations, thoughts and emotions that are causing us pain and frustration. I walk alongside you on your journey of healing, hope and growth. Together we can understand and heal where the pain is coming from, set healthy boundaries, reduce conflict, regulate emotions and take committed concrete steps to a more joyful, satisfying life.

Allison works primarily with adults and teens. Her practice areas include issues of anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, stress management, and other life changes. For clients who are interested in faith-based counseling, Allison has received training in integrating spirituality and faith into sessions. In graduate school, she conducted research about assisting clients with processing and healing from traumatic religious experiences. Allison uses several different therapeutic approaches, including person-centered counseling and existential counseling, as well as trauma-informed techniques and other evidence-based interventions.
