Being disconnected from yourself or stuck in a joyless existence is not something you must simply endure. The lingering effects of trauma caused by overwhelming events can prevent you from experiencing the present fully or anticipating the future with hope. Imagine living life without the frenzy of distraction, the seduction of escape or the public relations campaign of always being “fine”. How would it feel to no longer be controlled by another person or event? What would it be like to be in relationships without anxiety, fear or intimidation? What if you laughed more, worried less, and interacted with yourself compassionately?

You deserve a life of hope and healing! If you're here, it's probably because you or someone you care about is being weighed down by life. Conflict in relationships, transitions in life, trauma, and everyday stress can chip away at our joy and vitality. Trust me - it doesn't have to be this way. Yes, counseling is hard work. Making that first, courageous step of getting started can be intimidating. I'll do everything I can to make you feel heard, seen, and accepted. I want you to have a safe, comfortable, and healing environment as we journey together.

I believe counseling is a place where you are able to process and navigate the challenges of life with someone who is nonjudgmental. My therapy office is a safe place for you to bring your mess, hurt, and the unfiltered version of yourself. Through this process we will work together to enhance your strengths, identify growth areas, and, most importantly, develop and expand your community support system, helping you to gain the connection we all need to flourish in life.

Clients often come to me because they struggle with anxious or depressive symptoms and don't know how to improve. They are often surprised to learn that underlying these symptoms are often seemingly unrelated beliefs and feelings about relationships - particular relationships and relationships in general - that they didn't even know were there. Often clients believe that there is something "wrong" with them and their mental health, not understanding that with the right language to tell their story they often find that they make perfect sense! In addition to relationships and Schema, I also explore personality, values, and goals.

When life feels overwhelming, disappointing, or difficult to navigate, I can provide a safe, compassionate space for self-exploration, collaborative problem-solving, and personal healing. Offering a warm, nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship, I can support you in mastering challenging experiences, improving relationships, restoring balance, and cultivating meaning. I firmly believe that our encoding of earlier life experiences greatly impacts our subsequent lives. Consequently, I strive to help each individual or couple develop a deeper discernment of past and present, self and other, belief and reality.
